Youth Football Tri-Star Punt, Pass & Kick Competition
The Optimist Tri-Star Football Skills Competition is a fun, free event for youth football players ages 6-15 to show their punting, passing and place-kicking skills. Our next event will be Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the Otis M. Andrews Sports Complex!
Registration
- An information flyer and registration form will be available in September on request by e-mail to recinfo@plantcitygov.com or by calling 813-659-4255.
- No preregistration is needed - register on site when you compete
- Competition is for age groups 6-7, 8-9. 10-11, 12-13, 14-15 (age as of event day)
- Free event! Co-sponsored by the Optimist Club of Plant City

- 2023 will be our 30th season hosting the competition
- One attempt at each - punt, pass, kick - total distance combined is your score
- Scoring is for distance and accuracy (length minus distance away from target line)
- Awards for top three in each age group: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15
- Boys and girls compete separately.
- Tennis/gym shoes or cleats only - no bare feet!
- Registration on arrival at site, competition starts at 8:30 am, ends 10:30 a.m. (PCPRD/Optimist Flag Football players should compete after their 8:30 a.m. game or before their 9:45 a.m. game)
- Winners announced at 11 a.m.
