City Commission

The City Commission shall consist of five electors of the City, elected at large, who shall be elected for a term of three years unless elected to fill a vacancy occurring by death, resignation or removal in accordance with the terms of the City Charter. Newly elected Commissioners shall take office at twelve o′clock noon on the first Monday in June after election or as soon thereafter as practical, except in case of election to fill a vacancy caused by death, resignation or removal.

On the first regular meeting in June, the City Commission shall by majority vote elect one of its members as Mayor-Commissioner, who shall serve for an annual term commencing on said date and continuing until his or her successor.
