The 10.5-acre park is located one block south of Snowden Park and both parks are connected by a 12-foot wide paved walking trail.

Formerly used only as a storm water retention facility, improvements to the space were made in 2013 to enhance it's storm water retention ability and convert the space into a public use park. The park currently includes a 12-foot wide, 0.51 mile long, paved walking trail surrounding a 7.5-acre retention pond with a fountain as well as a pavilion, benches, bike racks, trail lighting, an outdoor fitness system, and restrooms.

A 14 station HealthBeat Outdoor Fitness System was installed in October 2020.  The stations include an elliptical, parallel bars, hand cycler, mobility ramp, balance steps, stretch, cardio stepper, squat press, plyometrics, tai chi wheels, chest/back press, assisted row/push ups, ab crunch/leg lifts, and pull up/dips.    The stations promote flexibility, relaxation, balance, meditation, cardiovascular, step aerobic, and strength exercises for users ages 13 and up.  They are free, available every day during daylight hours, and all stations are fully ADA compliant, including poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing for potential falls.  The project was funded with a $165,000 allotment from the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and was completed under budget.
