Youth Book Club – Join us online or in person for a fun new book club featuring story centered crafts, snacks, and activities to remind us of how fun reading can be! Elementary Grades 3-5 welcome!  April & May’s book is The House at the Edge of Magic, Boy Detective by Amy Sparks Contact: Maggie Cole 813-659-4256 for Zoom information!

Country Line Dancing - Line dancing classes are a fun way to learn new steps or brush up on what you already know.  Class activities include instruction in the latest dance steps and fun interaction with other dancers.  $5/class Ages: Teen and up. Instructor: Donna Edenfield 813-986-2820

The Drop Zone - Join us afternoons at the Planteen Recreation Center each school day for our daily youth programming available from 1:30 p.m.—5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday! The Drop Zone program is perfect for traditional, home schooled, Hillsborough Virtual or eLearning elementary and middle school students. Youth may choose between the Discovery POD, which includes STEM, Lego, Nature Cooking & Crafts; the Sports POD, which includes Sports, Conditioning & Strategy Games; and the Gaming POD which includes Pokémon, eSports, and Strategy Games, or they can choose the whole program! Hoola-Fit Hoop Fitness & Dance - Get into the “swing” of things in our Hoop Fitness class.  This American Council on Exercise approved health and fitness program pairs Hoops with mindful movements.  For all levels, no experience necessary. $40 for 4 classes or $15/class Ages: 13+ Instructor: Cyrena Lang 813-453-0459

Ladies Bible Study - If you long to be led deeper into your prayer life and awareness of the presence of God, plan to come join this group as they grow together in their walk of faith. $1/class All Ages Instructor: Laura Norris 813-659-4256

Parents’ Nite Out – Enjoy an adult evening without the kids!  Our monthly Parents’ Nite Out features dinner, movie and movie snacks, games, and crafts.  School aged children 5-12 are invited!  $15 first child, $10 each additional sibling.  Dates: March 24, April 21, May 19.  Please sign up by contacting Maggie Morona-Cole 813-659-4256 

Planteen Pokèmon League – Players of all Pokèmon Games meet to play the Trading Card Game Online, Video Games, and Pokèmon Go on their smartphones.  Virtual access to our league is also available! League meets Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30-6:30pm You can also join us for Pokèmon Go Community Days at the Recreation Center!  $5/week All Ages, includes pizza dinner.  Contact: Maggie Morona-Cole 813-659-4256

Planteen Pokèmon League Scarlet & Violet Prerelease Tournament – March 25, 2025 2:30PM. Come out and play in our First Prerelease Tournament! Cost: $30 +tax.  Pre-registration is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Please click the link for more information and pre-registration.

Planteen Light Force Academy — Are you ready to use the Force?  Training at the Planteen Light Force Academy will help you to develop sabering techniques and choreograph performances using real light up swords.  $10/class $30/month Ages: 5+ Instructor Michael Cole 813-417-5404

Planteen Tae Kwon Do - Master Steve Reynolds has been teaching Tae Kwon Do for over 20 years.  This Korean Martial Art stresses fitness, self-discipline, self-defense, coordination, and confidence. $25/month Ages: 5+ Instructor: Master Reynolds 813-737-3872

Teens Teach Tech – Are you a senior who has trouble using your cell phone?  Did you want to know how to use your iPad to send flowers to a friend?  Did you want to know how to order groceries and have them delivered to your house from your phone?  Just want to send email?  Our teenagers will help you to figure it all out!  Bring your device on Tuesdays at 5:30pm to the Planteen for help with your technology.  Contact: Maggie Cole 813-659-4256

Youth Hoola-Fit Hoop Fitness & Dance – Our younger hoopers can also take part in our hoop fitness classes!  This class is all about having a good time while learning new skills.  For all levels, no experience necessary.  Returning kids $68 for 4 weeks.  New Students $100 for 4 weeks and includes a handmade $30 hoop.  Instructor: Cyrena Lang 813-453-0459
