Overview

We serve over 12,900 water metered customers with 4 full-time Personnel. It is our goal to provide the very best service to our customers.

The Meter Crew is responsible for handling: 

  • Reading over 12,900 meters monthly Manually and Radio Read (AMR)
  • Re-reads of meters
  • Changing out Manual Read and Radio Read (AMR)
  • Ordering and overseeing contractor installation of meters
  • Raising meters and moving meters
  • Routing meters
  • Verification of meters and addresses
  • Raising and lowering meter boxes
  • Replacing broken meter boxes and lids
  • Digging out meter boxes and trimming bushes
  • Checking meters for leaks
  • Repairing leaks in the meter boxes
  • Replacing broken curb stops
  • Testing, repairing, and troubleshooting meters
  • Testing customer water pressures
  • Handling customer concerns with high water usage
  • Turning off water services for nonpayment.
  • Installing an removing contractors hydrant meters.
