Special Pick-up Services

Overview

Residential, single-family accounts, will be allotted 1 free load of bulky items or bulk yard waste pick-up within a 12-month period.

Customers can request a pick-up for items such as:

  • Old furniture
  • Appliances
  • Horticultural refuse (tree limbs, grass clippings)
  • Materials from minor DIY projects, excluding any item(s) deemed unsafe for our staff and/or equipment to service. (i.e. mirrors/sheets of glass,  HVAC ducts, concrete, pavers, rocks, bricks, stones, boulders, cement, masonry, etc.)

 

Items shall not present a health or safety hazard to the public, such as pedestrians or vehicular pathways.

There may be a special charge for this service. For information call 813-659-4222 to request a free cost estimate and to make arrangements for a special pick-up. The special charge will be included in your next monthly utility bill. 

If your refuse can not be picked up for any reason, the Solid Waste Department will leave a "Non-Pick-up Notice" on-site explaining the situation and recommending a solution for you. 

Please note:  Waste generated from the operation of a business will not be picked up for free, including construction, lawn, and tree maintenance companies.
