Services

The Plant City Solid Waste Division provides refuse service to more than 8,000 households in Plant City. Running 7 trucks per day, 5 days a week, the Solid Waste Division picks up and disposes of more than 14,000 tons of residential refuse per year. 

Your account is opened automatically when your water service is turned on. Garbage and rubbish collection charges appear on your monthly utility bill (water, sewer, garbage). For billing information, call the Utilities Billing Department, City Hall at 813-659-4222. 
 

Rates

  • 95 Gallon Cart:  $28.33 per month
  • 65 Gallon Cart:  $26.27 per month
  • 35 Gallon Cart:  $23.69 per month

 

Residential Household Trash

Residential household trash is defined as standard items that are disposed of in an indoor household trash receptacle on a regular occurring basis.  Typically, this refers to waste containers in the kitchen or bathroom.  Does not apply to materials generated from renovation or construction projects.  

Please note:  Waste generated from the operation of a business will not be picked up for free, including lawn and tree maintenance companies.   

 

 

Pick up Schedules

Yard trash pick-up is now scheduled for Wednesdays for items such as leaves, grass clippings and limbs.
