This park was dedicated October 18, 2005 and named to honor longtime civic and community leader Samuel W. Cooper for his many years of dedicated service to the community. The 11 acre area contains a seven acre lake which was developed to help prevent flooding in the Lincoln Park community. The park also includes:
  • Paved and lighted .6 mile walking trail
  • Landcaping
  • Benches

Samuel W. Cooper Park was designed by Professional Engineering Consultants of Orlando, Florida and was funded by the:

  • City's Community Redevelopment Trust Fund
  • City's Water and Sewer Fund
  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program
