ENGINEERING H.S. /GED. 2 yrs. experience in secretarial/clerical. Able to input and access data from a personal computer. Proven knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, business math, and ability to compose business letters. Ability to type 35 wpm. Must be able to work independently and have excellent interpersonal skills.
CUSTOMER SERVICE CLERK IV

 UTILITY BILLING H.S./GED. Valid Fl Driver's License. 3 yrs. customer service experience. 1 yr. lead/supervisory experience. Advanced work responding to customer’s utility billing inquiries and complaints. Acts as assistant supervisor as required. Ability to handle money accurately. Ability to type 45 wpm.

Works outside in various weather conditions and at heights up to 15 ft. Works with insecticides/herbicides

IT DEPARTMENT  H.S. /GED. Valid FL Driver’s License. Tech school and/or 3 years’ experience in computer related field. Ability to perform technical work as directed, i.e., assemble, setup and maintain desktop PCS; troubleshoot and repair Windows XP/7/8, printing and other related problems. Experience in installing and maintaining telephone, cat-5/6 computer wiring. Ability to lift 40 lbs.
LIBRARIAN II

LIBRARY  Master’s degree from an ALA accredited program and a minimum of 2 years professional experience in children’s services in a public library.  Must be service oriented, flexible, forward thinking, and interested in providing community responsive programming and collections to the children in eastern Hillsborough County.  Assists in supervision and training of Staff. Knowledge of reader interest levels; reference and cataloging procedures and practices.  Excellent communication skills a must.  Computer literacy necessary.  Some evening and weekend work required.

MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST I (WASTEWATER)

 UTILITIES MAINTENANCE H.S. /GED. Valid Fl Driver’s License.  Assist crew leader with the installation of sewer service laterals, sewer clean-outs, sewer main lines, manholes, etc.. Assist in repairing of sewer services and sewer main lines.  Works in various weather conditions.  Must obtain a Class B CDL with tanker and air brake endorsement within 6 months of employment.
MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST I

UTILITIES MAINTENANCE  H.S. /GED. Class D FL CDL.  General mechanical ability for the installation and repairs associated with water collection and distribution systems.  Able to operate maintenance tools and other equipment.  Ability to lift 50 lbs.  Works in various weather conditions.   Will be required to obtain a Class B CDL with tanker and air brake endorsement and qualify for on-call duty.

RECREATION  H.S./GED Current Fla. Driver License. (CDL a plus) Requires one year experience in recreation or related activities. Ability to work flexible hours such as 11am-8pm weekdays, and/or weekends as needed for special projects and scheduled events. Must be able to work independently and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals of all ages. Assists in, soliciting input from the public, developing, facilitating and evaluating recreational activities for all age groups at assigned recreation center. Participates in scheduling and coordinating various activities and events. Acts as an attendant or host for a variety of functions at the community center. Takes part in maintaining the community center and grounds and promptly reports any facility deficiencies. Performs routine office procedures and administrative functions as needed.
RECREATION
LEADER I (SUMMER)

 RECREATION H.S. /GED. Valid FL Driver’s License. Some college course work in Recreation/Physical Education/Education K-8 or related experience. Prefer experience supervising team or individual sports and vast knowledge of variety of other recreation activities. Conversational Spanish a plus, but not required.
Must successfully complete Level 2 background screening prior to employment. Due to the extended contact with small children, a new Florida law requires our seasonal FT summer program staff to undergo a Level 2 background screening which includes fingerprinting and FDLE/FBI checks. This applies to all summer program employees, including those under 18.
REFUSE COLLECTOR

SANITATION  Heavy manual labor work in the collection and disposal of refuse. Physical strength, stamina and ability to perform lifting, loading, bending, and other manual work. Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Works in various weather conditions

Must possess a Class “C” Water Plant Operations License AND a Class “C” Wastewater Plant Operations License. Advanced knowledge of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and reclaimed water plant operations, policies, procedures, and methods. Manual and mechanical work of ordinary difficulty and responsibility in connection with water/ wastewater plant operations, as a licensed plant operator. Ability to record data, perform lab tests. Collects water and wastewater samples and conducts operational control tests. Monitors control panels and adjusts valves. Records meter and gauge readings. Job requires shift work for continuous coverage of the water/wastewater plants
