UPDATE 1-12-18: Solid Waste Transition from County to City

Republic Services began removal of Hillsborough County's garbage and recycling cans on 12/26/17.  They will empty cans remaining at the curb on their regularly scheduled collection days until the removal project is complete, which may last through next week.  Please leave the County's cans at the curb until they are removed.  The City cannot service these cans.

The City began providing solid waste service on January 2.  We do not issue or require cans.  Sealed bags and garbage cans weighing under 50 pounds are acceptable.  The City can't empty the County's cans but will collect bags from the ground, empty private cans and pick up bulk items from all of our residential accounts.

Recycling boxes are provided upon request to (813) 659-4222.

Please visit the Solid Waste page for service information.  Please visit the Utilities Billing page for rates or call (813) 659-4222.  We look forward to being your service provider!
